Labccs (Laboratory Collection Control Software) - samples image 1

Laboratory sample management – data & space auditing.

LabCCS automatically records a complete audit history of any changes you make to the data stored for each sample.

Each data edit is recorded in what is known as the “Audit Log” in Labccs. To review what data was edited and when it was edited, the user simply displays the current data record and then selects the “Audit Log Mode” option. In audit log mode you can easily scroll through the audit log entries and any edited data is shown in red.

The audit log also maintains a history of the sample Collection value stored in each location. This is useful where Labccs users do not want to use the same storage location to store samples of different types (I.E. belonging to different Collections).

For example, if a box/tray has been used to store samples of Type 1 (Collection 1) then it may be imprudent to use that box/tray to store samples of Type 2 (Collection 2).

So … before deciding where to store a new set of sensitive samples, the user can first search for convenient empty storage locations and then run the “Location audit report” or “Box/Tray Audit report” to check which other sample types have been stored in or near that location.
